Flywheel removal and installation applies to Honda S2000 1999-2003 models.
Special Tools Required
- Remove the transmission.
- Remove the pressure plate and clutch disk.
- Remove the eight flywheel bolts, then separate the flywheel from the crankshaft flange.

Honda S2000 cylinder head removal and installation applies to 1999-2003 models.
CYLINDER HEAD REMOVAL PROCEDURE
TIPS:
- Use fender covers to avoid damaging painted surfaces.
- To avoid damage, unplug connectors while holding connector portion.
- To avoid damage to cylinder head, wait until engine temps drops below 100°F (38°C) before loosening the cylinder head bolts.
- Mark wiring and hoses to avoid misconnection. Also, be sure that they do not contact other wiring or hoses, or interfere with other parts.

Honda S2000 camshaft removal and inspection applies to 1999-2003 Ap1 models powered by the F20C engine.
Do not rotate the camshaft during inspection.
1. Remove the dipstick, positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose and breather hose (see step 18 on Cylinder Head Removal ).
2. Remove the ignition coil cover, then remove the ignition coils (see step 19 on Cylinder Head Removal ).
3. Remove the cylinder head cover (see step 22 on Cylinder Head Removal ).
4. Loosen the rocker arm adjusting screws (see step 28 on Cylinder Head Removal ).
5. Remove the camshaft holders and camshafts.
6. Insert the bolts into the rocker shaft holder, then remove the rocker arm assembly (see step 30 on Cylinder Head Removal ).
7. Disassemble the rocker arm assembly.
8. Put the rocker shaft holders, camshafts and the camshaft holders on the cylinder head, then tighten the bolts to the specified torque.

The dust and pollen air filter found within the Honda S2000 should be replaced every 30,000 miles under normal conditions, or every 15,000 miles under extremely dusty or sooty conditions. Replace the filter more often if the air flow is less than usual.

Front and rear wheel bearing removal and installation applies to Honda S2000 1999-2003 models.
FRONT WHEEL BEARING
Removal
Remove steering knuckle. Remove hub-to-rotor attaching bolts and separate rotor from hub. Using special Front Hub Tool Driver (07749-0010000) and Attachment (07746-0010600), press wheel bearing from hub. Press wheel bearing inner race from hub. Clean knuckle and hub thoroughly before reassembly.
