Sounds like the problem isn't the cai. Its unfortunate even the honda service can't figure It out. Id say google up some s2000 forums and ask around there. You may find people who had the same problem and had managed to solve it. Good luck.

I recently had an experienced speed shop install a K&N CAI in my '06 Honda S2000. After a few days driving it, the check engine light came on. I took it back to the speed shop and they checked everything, they reset the light but it still came back on. I then took it to the dealer and they said it was the air pump. $1,000 later, the light still came back on. Now they said that they have to wait for Honda to tell them what the problem is. Of course, Honda told the dealer to change the ECU. The ECU was never an issue because the car drove fine way before I decided to put in a CAI. Anyway, I took the car back to the speed shop, told them to "take out" the CAI and put everything back to specs. Guess what? Check engine light came on AGAIN!!!

Can someone help me out with this problem. I bought the car to cruise around for the summer and summer is coming to an end because it's my ride is still in the damn shop.

I would greatly appreciate any kind of assistance with this problem.

Thank you,

Richard
